CHOICE IN ABUNDANCE FOUND AT PERSIMMON’S KINGSWAY DEVELOPMENT

If you’re looking for a property which boasts ample living space, in a sought-after location in Gloucester, at a price you can afford, then Persimmon Homes South Midlands’ Kingsway development will be right up your street, as it offers all three in abundance.

“No matter what your taste, requirements or budgets, we have a property to suit you as we have such a wide selection of housetypes on offer at Kingsway which are appealing to first time buyers, couples, young and growing families as well as those looking to downsize,” states Alison Reading, sales director for Persimmon Homes South Midlands.

Persimmon has reported that it is selling the properties at Kingsway ahead of schedule with househunters taking advantage of the reasonably priced homes on offer. Alison adds: “We’re selling at least one property a week at the moment, demonstrating the appeal of what we have available.”

To make the buying process that much more affordable, Persimmon is also offering the 70 per cent shared equity HomeBuy Direct initiative, to enable those earning less than £60,000 to purchase 100 per cent of their home for initially just 70 per cent of the marketed price. The remaining 30 per cent is made up by an equity loan which is co-funded by the Government and Persimmon Homes.

Under the scheme, purchasers could secure their brand new housetype at Kingsway for just £97,997 for the coach house design.

Persimmon’s latest phase of housetypes at the development include a selection of three and four bedroom properties with prices start from £161,995 (£117,997 with HomeBuy Direct) and £229,995 respectively. Also on offer is the beautiful two bedroom coach house, which is ideal for first time buyers and is priced at £139,995 (£97,997 through HomeBuy Direct).

Alison concludes: “The number of visitors we’re welcoming each week and the speed of reservations means that there will soon be limited availability for each housetype, so I’d recommend those thinking of moving home soon come and visit our Kingsway development before they potentially miss out.”

Located on the southern boundary of Gloucester, Kingsway is just a short drive from the city centre and the M5, for easy access to Stroud and Bristol to the south and Cheltenham, Worcester and Birmingham to the north.

Persimmon is not only building new homes but as part of the consortium an entire new community is being developed too. Kingsway Village already boasts a new school, and future developments will include community centre, health and sport facilities including a cricket square, a pavilion and tennis courts, as well as shops, play areas and parkland.

With easy access to Gloucester city centre and its excellent amenities, the development offers modern living in an exciting new destination. Gloucester is an excellent location with a good road network enabling residents to enjoy semi rural life with access to nearby towns and cities.

“Our latest 70 per cent shared equity HomeBuy Direct event in Gloucester was a fantastic success,” reports Alison Reading, sales director for Persimmon Homes South Midlands. She adds: “We received more interest in our new homes through the scheme than ever before and achieved a number of sales across our two remaining Gloucester sites, with 13 sales across the two developments in the last month alone.”

At the event, which was hosted at Persimmon’s The Marketplace development in Gloucester, several eager first time buyers, from young professionals, couples and families visited the site, with the prospect of finally getting a foothold on the property ladder.

On the day sales advisers from Persimmon’s sites, The Marketplace and Kingsway, were on hand to speak to househunters and were joined by a representative agent from HomeBuy Direct and an independent financial adviser who were both available to discuss individual’s purchasing options.

Alison continues: “We are delighted that Home Buy Direct is proving successful and it demonstrates that initiatives such as this coming onto the market, is helping hundreds of young people or those that have been renting, to make that first move. We can see through our increasing visitors to our developments that demand for new homes remains strong and we are confident that our customers see this as a good time to buy.

“Demonstrating that HomeBuy Direct is so popular in the Gloucester and overall South Midlands area, we have achieved the second highest number of sales through the scheme among the 24 regional Persimmon Homes companies.”

Sir Bob Kerslake, chief executive of The Homes and Communities Agency which is investing £400m to HomeBuy Direct through designated agents and developers such as Persimmon, adds: “HomeBuy Direct is about giving local people the opportunity to get a foot on the property ladder in a way they can afford now and into the future.”

Persimmon Homes is further proving its commitment to providing high quality homes in Gloucester to suit a wide variety of househunter’s requirements and budgets buy supporting the Government- led initiative HomeBuy Direct, a shared equity scheme.

Properties will be sold under the Government’s HomeBuy Direct scheme, whereby househunters will be required to raise funding, including a mortgage plus any small deposit where available, of at least 70 per cent of the purchase price. AFFORDABILITY IS KEY AT GLOUCESTERSHIRE HOUSING SCHEME

House-hunters looking for affordable living close to Gloucester city centre can buy a home for a fraction of the price at a new development in Quedgeley.

Bromford Homes has released for sale a range of one bedroom apartments and two and three bedroom houses at its Kingsway scheme at East Church – all starting from just £25,500*.
The new-build properties are available through the housing provider’s Flexi Purchase scheme – a purchase plan designed specifically to help people step onto the housing ladder.

It means people can buy a share of between 25 and 75 per cent of the total property value, paying a reduced rent on the remaining balance.

Beverley Hall, spokesperson for Bromford Homes, said: “We offer a range of flexible purchasing options for people struggling to buy a home outright. Our Kingsway development offers them the chance to own a brand new home for a price they can afford. They can then buy further shares as and when finances allow.”

Kingsway is part of a new multi-million pound community south west of Gloucester city centre. As part of the development, new shops, leisure and education facilities are being built for residents.

Beverley continued: “Kingsway is in an excellent spot close to Gloucester city centre and has good road links along the A38 and M5. Quedgeley has its own range of amenities. More shops, bars and restaurants can be found in Gloucester city centre.”

An open weekend is being held from Saturday 24th January where buyers can meet Bromford sales advisors and discuss the range of properties available. A view home will also be open.
To find out more about Kingsway call Michael Tuck New Homes 01452 726443 or visit http://www.michaeltuck.co.uk/.

* Prices equate to a 25% share. Other shares available to buy through Bromford Homes’ Flexi Purchase scheme. Monthly rent and service charges also apply. Offer subject to terms and conditions.
