FIRST TIME BUYERS RECEIVE SUPPORT FROM PERSIMMON HOMES

If you’re thinking about buying your first home, given the current market conditions, you’ve probably resided to the fact that you’ve only got two options – a small apartment or a small house. Well, with support from Persimmon Homes South Midlands, you could broaden your horizons as the competitively priced three bedroom homes at its The Maples development in Gloucester have been priced with first time buyers in mind.

Alison Reading, sales director for Persimmon Homes South Midlands comments: “I strongly believe that the recent economic downturn shouldn’t continue to hinder those looking to buy their all important first property. Nor should it limit the range and styles of homes they can choose from, which is why at The Maples offering a number of two and even three bedroom homes at prices they can afford, and this is proven by the fact that 95 per cent of the development has now sold and we’re selling homes ahead of schedule here.”

Currently available at the development are a range of two and three bedroom homes for those looking to move onto or up the property ladder. Prices start from £129,995 for a two bedroom design and through the company’s commitment to the Government led 70 per cent HomeBuy Direct shared equity scheme, purchasers could pay as little as £90,997, meaning purchasing at the Gloucester development can be both stress free and cost effective.

Alison adds: “I’d urge interested househunters to come and see The Maples sooner rather than later as there are just a handful of homes remaining at our popular development before it comes to a close.”

With properties sold under the HomeBuy Direct scheme, househunters will be relieved to note that they will not have to find a deposit as they are just required to raise mortgage funding of at least 70 per cent of the purchase price. The remaining 30 per cent will be made up by an equity loan co-funded by the Government and Persimmon Homes, which is interest free for five years.

“When it comes to understanding the needs and current restraints facing first time buyers, the team at Persimmon are fully aware of the complications involved with buying a first home. For those thinking about purchasing their first property, I’d encourage them to come and speak to us as we’re.
