Demand for Tenants at Coopers Edge

MORE proof that the local rental market is thriving comes from the Abbeymead office of estate agent Michael Tuck, which reports finding tenants for seven properties on the Cooper’s Edge development alone in the past month.

Lettings manager Kurt Swanborough said: “It’s the ideal location for many tenants who commute to work, being within easy reach of Gloucester, Cheltenham and the M5.

“Landlords have woken up to the fact that they can find good deals, especially if they are multiple property buyers and this up and coming development of new homes has everything going for it.”

According to Kurt Swanborough, demand for rented property in Cooper’s Edge in Brockworth is across the range of house types.

“We let four three bedroom town houses, a couple of two bedroom houses and a pair of two bedroom apartments – all within ten days of receiving instructions from the owner landlords. As long as properties are priced realistically there’s strong demand from tenants.”

This is a situation that he believes will continue into the future. “At the Abbeymead office the lettings department is certainly busier than ever and I believe that strong demand will carry on.

“People who find it difficult to buy because they can’t raise the large deposits lenders are asking for are looking to rent – and that’s not going to change in the near future.

“We expecting to find a lot more tenants for rental properties at the Brockworth development and as we’re the local expert we believe we have the edge at Cooper’s Edge”.

New housing scheme helps first time buyers in Gloucester

Buyers looking for affordable city living are getting the chance to snap up one of six properties at a landmark housing scheme on the outskirts of Gloucester.

Award-winning Bromford Homes has launched a range of two bedroom houses at its Kings Copse development in Quedgeley, with prices starting from just £60,000*.

The new-build homes are available through HomeBuy Shared Ownership – a scheme that allows people to purchase shares of their own home, rather than the more expensive option of buying a property outright.

Beverley Hall, spokesperson for Bromford Homes, explained: “HomeBuy Shared Ownership gives you the same rights and responsibilities of owning your own home, you’ll just share the ownership with Bromford Homes.

“You simply purchase a share and pay lower monthly payments than if you’d have bought outright. The more shares you buy, the less you pay. There’s no catch – we’re here especially to help you get onto the housing ladder.”

Kings Copse lies in the attractive parish of Quedgeley, which lies on the bank of the River Severn. The village has a range of amenities and there is a local Tesco store just two miles away from the development. Gloucester city centre and its wealth of shops, bars and restaurants are just three miles away.

Buyers can choose from two different house types, including The Buckthorn and The Chester. Each property has a fitted kitchen, attractive living room with patio doors leading to a rear garden, downstairs cloakroom, two double bedrooms and well-appointed bathroom. There is also full gas-fired central heating, double glazing and high performance insulation throughout and a 10 year National House Building Council (NHBC) New Home Warranty.

For more information about Kings Copse contact Michael Tuck Land and New Homes on 01452 726443 or visit http://www.michaeltuck.co.uk/

*Prices equate to a 50% share. Other shares available to buy through Bromford Homes’ Flexi Purchase scheme. Monthly rent and service charges also apply. Offer subject to terms and conditions.
